"...or give me death"

I think that the purpose of my life is not to be saved at the end of it, but to experience it fully.

I believe that there's no end-- at least not definitively and certainly not in death. I see life as sustained wayfaring, if you will, with twists and turns on bumpy roads or long stretches of unremarkable passage. My essence-- my soul or whatever that part of god that i possess is called-- is not co-terminus with my corporeal body. Life does not end in death but, in a manner of speaking, merely takes on a different direction, perhaps on another plane, or assumes a different mode of travel.

I like to think of death as a presence, earthly yet at the same time intangible. Gossamer. It walks with us in life, one step behind us for the most part, waiting and biding its time, but not foreboding. There is nothing threatening about it. Towards our passing, it takes us by the hand. No intimidation is necessary, no coercion, because what it offers is rest. Peace. A better alternative to life in many ways. The temptation is too great to resist and we are not fools to decline.

I do not fear death. I fear pain and suffering, but that is life, isn't it?

Hi, Ajie! How I envy you. Unlike you, I've always feared death. I've always been afraid of leaving this world too soon and not leaving a significant impact on the lives of the people around me.

Peter: If leaving a significant impact is what's troubling you, i think you can rest easy (no pun intended).:)
